Hello! I’m Alessandra
Great to have you on my website!
An art professional with over 20 years experience, I fully dedicate myself to curatorship, creative production and talent development. As Italian based in Amsterdam, I am home in two countries, and work on international ground on a vast range of projects.
I always look for a new angle in art projects whether they are large or small. Because I believe in talent and young minds, I am also passionate about sharing what I know. Ideally I work on a project, from content design to the final result, creating a program in which everyone can fully experience art.
While I like to laugh, I can get seriously crossed about a painting hanging crooked. I am social, curious and hard working. I work as well at my kitchen table as on an airplane, and prefer an unconventional approach and innovative presentation methods.
My background
A true mid career, I have accumulated decades of experience in making projects reality. My passion is being a mediator between the public and the arts, always looking for a new, different angle. Through the years I have become an expert in managing small budgets and harmonica teams working with a team of 3 or 50 depending on the plan.
What did I do?
Made several outdoors exhibitions of international contemporary sculpture both as a curator and as a project manager. Worked with an array of colleagues from all over the world from China to South Africa to Russia France and Belgium
Set up an educational department, raising the necessary funds, building a network.
Managed the first steps of the extension of a museum, writing a plan, raising funds and developing the project.
Managed a hybrid team of professionals and passionate volunteers as Head of Presentation and Education.
Advised upon and acquired art works directly from the artist or at major international art fairs.
Wrote articles and edited catalogues, held presentations and trainings.
